V volumetric internal gear pumps are used in applications where the management of clean fluids with high viscosities is required. They are used in all industrial applications where a delicate treatment of the pumped product is necessary, preventing chemical-physical alterations. Being volumetric rotary pumps, they ensure flow rates proportional to the rotational speed and provide constant, pulse-free flows, regardless of the back pressure.
Internal gear pumps are a type of positive displacement pump that are highly effective for handling high viscosity fluids. As a rotary positive displacement pump, they operate by trapping a fixed amount of fluid and moving it through the pump's internal gears. This design makes them particularly suitable for applications involving abrasive liquids, as the internal gear mechanism can handle such fluids with minimal wear and tear.
Pump Configuration
Varisco offers the V Series internal gear pumps in various sizes and metallurgical configurations. Available as bare shaft pumps or as complete units with an electric motor, the V Series presents a large range of options. Designed for versatility, it adapts to diverse fluid management applications, including those involving high viscosity and abrasive liquids.
The operating principle of internal gear pump
V pumps are internal gear positive displacement rotary pumps. The flow is generated by two gears: the rotor and idler, one inside the other, separated by a crescent. As the gears rotate, liquid is drawn into the spaces created between the gears and the crescent. When the gears mesh, the liquid is forced out of the pump. The result is a smooth flow of liquid and high capacity combined with compact size.
Applications
To ensure correct pump operation, it is crucial to pick the right product with respect to the application and the chemical-physical characteristics of the fluid being treated.
